Nice argument. But the point is – truth never resulted in great art. Truth just attacks personality flaws but the problem is that if these human flaws are fixed, there would be no art. So let Mr Os Guiness produce art that compares with Picasso and prove that Truth produces Art. I suppose he is unfamiliar with the saying that: Art is a lie that proclaims the truth. It’s important that he understands this. People with arguments like this stink of Savanarola and his Bonfire of Vanities. Like dogs in the manger, they will never eat the hay of Art nor let others eat it. Sorry if this sounds like a harsh analogy but I wonder if there is a response to this?
